400 Ton Transfer Molding Press

The 400 ton Transfer/Compression press is designed and built for molding electrical, automotive and appliance parts out of thermoset materials such as Phenolic, BMC and Epoxy. The press is also equipped with compression features for molding various thermoset parts from the aforementioned materials.

The press features an up-acting clamp and a down acting transfer cylinder. Both the clamp and the transfer are capable of profiling velocity and pressure during the molding cycle which enables the operator to produce void free parts with good surface appearance.

PRESS FEATURES

To ensure the highest degree of precision, performance and safety, LMG’s standard Genesis II Transfer Press includes the following features:

1. Large Color TFT Touchscreen for easy access and entry of process set points for temperature, velocity and pressure profiles. If your operators have ever used a Windows-based program, they will already know how to operate our touchscreen. Just like in a Windows-based program, the operator can open a pop-up window by simply pressing a button on the screen. The TFT screen, with its bright high contrast image, allows easy viewing from almost an angle.
2. User configurable windows allows the operator, setup person, supervisor or engineer to select the information for display that they need to see. Unnecessary screen clutter and information overload are eliminated.
3. Process monitoring for real time visual aid to manage your process. Examples: Actual hydraulic or material pressure, clamp position, current profile number, cycle time remaining, cycle count
4. Touchscreen adjustable closed loop pressure control provides accurate process pressure control.
5. Touchscreen adjustable proportional speed control provides for maximum productivity
6. Alarms provide problem descriptions and indicate corrective action to take, resulting in increased uptime.
7. User friendly menu driven system guides the operator through each screen for quick and easy operation.
8. Recipe system saves job data to the operator interface memory for later recall. All process Set-points including heat Set-points and alarm limits are saved to the recipe.
9. Three levels of password protected security for Set-points and calibrations so that they can be locked out to prevent unauthorized changes
